Learn swordfighting

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is the study and practice of real martial techniques from medieval and Renaissance Europe. Based on historical manuals, it brings back the skills of sword fighting, grappling, and other weapons — all trained with modern safety and structure.

At Wapenkunst Akademie Rijswijk we focus on effective technique, smart movement, and controlled sparring. All this under guidance of experienced instructors, in a safe and welcoming environment.

If you’ve ever wanted to train with a sword and mean it, this is your place.
